Oops Chardonnay 750ml

Manufacturer's Notes: Early in the eighteen century a root-feeding aphid, phylloxera, abruptly wiped out the vineyards throughout Europe. Later, when the replanting began, only the finicky late-ripening "lost grape" proved too difficult to resurrect. Known as the "lost grape" and fashioned here as white Carmenere, this noble grape from the 1700's was thought lost forever after a nasty root louse destroyed the vineyards of Europe in the 1860's until... in 1994 a viticulturist Jean-Michel Boursiquit realized this noble grape hiding in Chile. Oops! Today, these same grapes add a distinctive style and character to all our (oops) wines.
