Vintage Porto. Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, originally acquired by Dow's in 1890, is one of the finest vineyards in the Upper Douro valley. This vineyard's 62,000 vines cover 21 hectares of south facing slopes, the vines' average age being 25 years. The grapes are picked by hand and the wine is produced by the traditional method of foot treading in the Quinta's 7 small granite "lagares. Dow's is entirely owned and managed by the Symington family which has produced Port for over a century, through four generations.
