Here the well draining soils and moderate sun exposure yield smaller, concentrated grapes that ripen slowly and evenly, developing a medley of complex flavors. This cuvee of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon features fruits from premier vineyards, including Jack and Dolores Cakebread's Hill Ranch Vineyard in Rutherford. Rested for 22 months in French oak barrels (60% new, 40% neutral), this opulent wine boasts enticing dark fruit aromas and hints of Rutherford's farmed cocoa dust.
