Manufacturer's Notes: Wente Vineyards, established in 1883, was the first California winery to produce a wine labeled as Chardonnay. Today, many of the great Chardonnay vineyards in California are planted on the original Wente Clone. Riva Ranch Chardonnay is Estate Grown in the Went family's sustainably framed vineyards in Arroyo Seco, Monterey. The region's long, cool growing season and gravelly soils produce grapes with bright, tropical flavors, complemented by creaminess and complexity from about eight months of sur lie aging.
