Toro De Piedra Colchagua Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 750ml

Many years ago the owner of the Requingua estate, Santiago Achurra, purchased an unusually large and strong bull for his dairy operation. The magnificent animal was released in a fenced field and a few days later it mysteriously disappeared, never to be seen again. Worker searching the field for some sign of the bull found instead a huge stone, which they said had not been noticed before. They superstitiously called it the Toro de Piedra, the Stone Bull. Today, some of Vine Requingua's best grapes are grown in that field. Intense ruby red with violet-toned reflections, this Cabernet sauvignon attacks the nose with coffee and chocolate. Once swirled, hints of strawberry, black liquorice, and Leather begin to surface. Thick and Lush on the palate, this wine fills the mouth with intensity and roundness. Its strong aromatic presistence lingers as its long generous finish sets in, making this and excellent and well structured Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe and round tannins make this wine elegant and pleasing.
