Product Description

Manufacturer's notes: Our Straight Rye Whiskey is crafted in Tennessee and perfected in Montana using the same pure water source from the Rocky Mountains that Josephine used to proof her whiskey almost 100 years ago.

Josephine Doody

Glacier National Park, Montana

Josephine Doody, also known as "The Bootleg Lady

of Glacier Park," was a controversial figure of her day.

Legend says that Josephine was a former dance hall

worker on the run from the law after killing a man

in her dance hall, which she always claimed was in

self-defence. During Prohibition, Josephine took

up bootlegging from her secret cabin hideout in

Glacier Park. She was famous for ferring hooch

across the Flathead River and supplying railroad

trainmen with alcohol. For each toot of the train's

horn, Josephine was signaled to bring one gallon of

hooch from her latest batch.
