Manufacturer's notes: Napa Valley is ideally suited for exceptional Merlot. The core of this wine comes from the valley's southern end, where the cool climate and dominance of clay -- a key soil component in regions where the world's most revered Merlot is grown -- allow the variety's finest qualities to emerge: rich, silky textures, supple tannins and an affinity for food. We use gentle cellaring techniques to preserve the fresh fruit, selecting our final blend from the best lots. Like all out wines, this Merlot is a reflection of our belief that The Joy of Wine lies in the pleasure of sharing it with others.
