Manufacturer's Notes: We're often asked at the brewery which of us is the eponym for this delicious, malty, strong ale, and, frankly, there are a number of worthy candidates. But the real truth behind the name lies in the history of Old Orange, our fair city, which, back in the late-19th and early-20th centuries, was home to a 'dummy' rail car, a steam-fired engine that carried citrus workers to and from Orange every day. That Old Dummy probably would not have met current EPA standards, thanks to the thick, black smoke it generated, but we think you'll find that this Old Dummy is just the thing when something sturdy is required.
