With a Gold Award at the 2008 World Beer Cup in the Scottish-Style Ale category, Mcgarvey's Scottish Ale has now joined an elite class of beers throughout the world. Who would have thought that a mistake would have created a gold medal beer? What was supposed to be our Sunset Amber, turned out to be out new McGarvey's Scottish Ale; What a great mistake. This rich, malty Scottish-style Export Ale is brewed with small amounts of dark grains for color and flavor. By mashing in at a higher temperature, the beer receives a hint of sweetness. A small amount of hops are used to keep the bitterness low. Picture this a warm Southern California day drinking a nice refreshing McGarvey's Scottish Ale. THIRSTY ANYONE?
