In creating Johnnie Walker Platinum Label the innovative flavors of these 'private blends' were our inspiration - we set out to craft a supremely rich and full-flavored 18 year old whisky for life's special moments. We searched through our unparalleled reserves of Scotch Whisky to identify a select number of casks with precisely the right character to be included in Johnnie Walker Platinum Label and carefully blended them to produce this exceptionally refined Scotch. These casks, containing single malt or grain whiskies, were matured for at least 18 years until reaching the perfect balance between the character of the distillery where they originated and that of the wood in which they have rested. The result is a smooth and subtly smoky whisky, with hints of almonds, tangerines and vanilla, an intense taste experience to be savored either neat or over ice - the exclusivity of a 'private blend' to be enjoyed the world over.
