Product Description

Manufacturer's Notes: New World bourbon maturation. Old World sherry finish. Small batch -- 2500 bottles.

This premium Jack Ryan Irish whiskey from the Ryan family is a 15 Year Old Single Malt called "The Bourdega". Irish single malt aged in bourbon barrels, finished in sherry casks. Bourbon and Bodega, Bourdega! Irish craft with touches of American aging and Spanish finish.

Over the centuries, it seems as though the Irish ventured, emigrated, Soldiered, fled, profiteered and explored all points of the compass. It's not as if bourbon and sherry don't already have Irish connections! Sure didn't Murphys, O'Neals and Garveys find their way to Jerez and enter sherry lore? And what of the McKennas in the American south and their bourbon legacy? Yes indeed, the Bourdega had to be!

It closes a circle, is complete in itself, premium Irish single malt resounding today with echoes of Old and New World adventures long ago.

Let your imagination take flight from the warm haven of a drop of The Bourdega.

Color: deep gold.
Aromas: zesty citrus self-introduction, early sherry assertion, apple, orange, honey, cream.
Flavors: smooth power and full flavor, instant citrus hit then sherry with honey and cream harmony. Second sip reveals more fruit, nuts and bourbon oak maturity. Fresh apricots.
Finish: spicy smoothness with long slide, sherry connotation, oak infused, nutty, persistent fruit.
