Cuvee Sauvage is named for the wild yeasts that give this wine its extraordinary character. Instead of adding commercial yeasts to induce fermentation, we follow the tradition of using only the native yeasts that occur naturally in our vineyards. In crafting, we harvest perfectly ripened Chardonnay fruit from our vineyards in Napa's cool, Carneros region and take winemaking to the limits of extravagance. The result is a rich, intense Chardonnay elegant and untamed.
