In 2010, acknowledged tequila expert David Grapshi brought together his dream team to create the world's first Tequila Barrel Expressions: Master Distiller Miguel Cendeno Cruz, whose lifetime career has been agave cultivation, whose lifetime career has been agave cultivation, distillation and tequila production, and Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, who has two decades of experience in crafting bourbon and barrel selection. Together, the trio sourced the perfect barrels from george T. Staff, Old Rip Van Winkle, Buffalo Trace and Sazerac Rye. This extraordinary Anejo was aged for 23 months in Old Rip Van Winkle barrels. The result is creamy notes of oak, almond and vanilla with lemon tea, ginger and herbal nose.
