Manufacturer's Notes: After a brief apprenticeship in Scotland, these simple words of encouragement - spoken by a Scottish Master Distiller - ultimately kindled the flame that evolved into a burning passion for creating great spirits.

With our sights set on creating something completely unique, our quest for whiskey flavor perfection led us to the intriguing complexities of fruitwood. We Use it as a smoking medium during the kiln drying process and as a maturing catalyst inside our barrels.

We opened our doors in Sperryville in 2005 as the first distillery in North America with a traditional malt floor and kiln. Today in both Sperryville and Williamsburg, VA we floor malt, distill, barrel finish, and bottle all our spirits.
