Our 2004 vintage continues the tradition of Clos du Bois Marlstone, one of the pioneering Bordeaux blend programs in California. This vintage was sourced primarily from benchland and mountain vineyards in Alexander Valley. With lengthy oak aging in French barrels, The wine has intense aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and violets. The unique blending of several different varietals gives the wine its deep ruby color and enticing flavors of mocha, spice and boysenberry. Soft supple tannins, a rich mouthfeel and silky finish provide a memorable ending to this powerful, generous wine. 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot.
