Manufacturer's Notes: For riders during the Golden Age of Cycling (1860-1905), the machine of choice was called the Velocipede. Invented by Nicephore Niepce, these early bicycles were made entirely of wood, then later with metal tires. As you can imagine, riding over old cobblestone streets on metal tires could be a thrilling if incredibly bumpy experience.
