2009 Vina Almaviva 750ml

Manufacturer's Notes: Almaviva is the highly acclaimed wine from Concha y Toro and Baron Philippe de Rothschild made at their historic vineyard and winery in Puente Alto, Chile. Just as does the wine itself, Almaviva's name and label joins elements of the cultures of both France and Chile. Count Almaviva is the hero of The Marriage of Figaro, the classic French play by Beaumarchais that inspired Mozart's great opera. And the images on the label, representing the earth and cosmos, are stylized designed painted on ritual drums dating from the Mapuche period of Chile's ancestral history. These two great traditions thus combine to offer the whole world a promise of pleasure and excellence.
