Manufacturer's Notes:
Hardin's Creek
The birthplace of the Beam Family distilling legacy. This is our origin story. Today, the Beam name is synonymous with bourbon. But it wasn;t always so. There had to be a first. And that was Johannes Jacob Beam, the forefather of America's first family of bourbon.
1795 in the foothills if Western Kentucky, fed by a river named Hardin's Creek, Jacob set down roots. And there he set to building. A humble well, sturdily built. To draw water from Hardin's Creek. That water to power a mill. That mill to grind fields of corn. That corn to form Jacob's earliest mashes. Unassuming beginnings that would inspire a legacy measured in centuries. A single source from which our whiskey-making expertise has flowed form generation to generation for 225 years. Each distiller taking a turn building on the foundations laid by their forebears, before bestowing that honnor upon the next generation. Our legacy a tapestry of expertise and experience. A legacy that belongs not to the individual, but rather to all who have had a hand in making it. After all, our family's story is the story of American Whiskey. It belongs to all.
Every edition within Hardin's Creek will carry this honorable charge: to chart the ever-evolving journey of American Whiskey -- from its roots through what it could be.
Kentucky Series
"Set it and let nature take over." A timeless commandment from Booker Noe, situated at the very heart of this edition. We have long understood that ours are not the sole hands responsible for shaping our whiskies. Whiskey-making is harmony between nature and nurture -- the natural conditions that surround us, intuitively blended with our nurturing craft.
Our three campuses -- Clermont, Frankfort, Boston -- are home to unique topographical and environmental conditions. As a bourbon grows old in one of these lands, it's indelibly marked by the nuanced character of the land itself. Whether set down at the foot or crest of rolling hills, open to the sun's blaze or tree-shaded and cool, breezed by the winds or steadfastly still, every drop is influenced and oriented by the peculiarities of its environs.
The single constant -- our unwavering commitment to quality, patience, skill and craft.
Boston
Welcome to Boston, the final of three special releases. Our Booker Noe campus in Boston, Kentucky is one of a kind. Our rackhouses, spread out generously in the golden sunshine and clear air, ideal for maturation. Fine ingredients soon become fine bourbon.
These unique conditions mean a faster, richer agind process that brings out the nuttiness and woodiness of the whiskey. A dark amber bourbon, full of chocolate and caramel, with high notes of vanilla and faded hazelnut. It's bold and characterful, much like Booker Noe himself. Legacy is always in the making.
