Manufacturer's Notes: A fully matured and sophisticated Speyside Malt, this cool, calm 21 year old 1989 natural cask-strength Cragganmore comes from American Oak refill casks.

The first bottling at this age ever undertaken by the distillers, it makes a smooth companion to earlier special releases of a complex 29 year old, also from American Oak, and a spicy 17 year old.

Bright amber, with a mellow, nutty nose of marzipan and apple and pear fruit, then more herbal notes. Adding water raises fragrant scents, while the marzipan yeilds to waxy fruit. Smooth, sweet and cooling, with liquorice root and cinnamon. A warming finish, with gingery spices: with water, drying and herbal. Rich-bodied and creamy, this Cragganmore elegantly combines fragrant fruity notes with a complex of smooth, sweet flavors to make a whiskey worthy of long contemplation.
